Filmmaker . Storyteller . Explorer

Coco Jackie is a documentary director with a special interest in creating intimate and personal character-led stories. With a rigorous education in film, including a Masters in Anthropology from Laval University in Canada and a Script Writing degree from IAD in Belgium, she creates unique connections with each of her contributors, often focussing on the overlooked and unseen within society.

Her first feature film, Framing Her, received funding from AMC Sundance TV and the Swedish Film Institute, and tells the story of six female filmmakers in Europe and Asia.
Based in London, she operates a wide skillset, working as a scriptwriter and self-shooting director / producer, as well as a producers and directors assistant with credit including HETV for Netflix, Apple TV+ and BFI independent features. Working within animation, documentary and experimental short films she looks to bring each story to life in a unique way and is always excited to collaborate with new clients and commissions.
